Nordic Soccer Club is delighted to announce the addition of Plattsburgh State Head Coach Tania Armellino and Assistant Coach Frantzy Noze to the coaching staff at Nordic. Armellino and Noze will be the head and assistant coach respectively with the 2002-03 Premier Girls squad for the 2020-21 season. The two college coaches bring further experience and knowledge to an already stellar cast of coaches within the Girls coaching ranks.
"For our aspiring college athletes, Frantzy and Tania bring a boots on the ground knowledge of what it takes to be a prospect at that level," said Craig Stone, Girls Program Director at Nordic, "as well as first-hand knowledge of how best to navigate the recruiting process. They're also first rate people and will encourage similar qualities in their players," said Stone.
Tania and Frantzy have led the Cardinals to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament semifinals during each of their six years (made finals in 2017) at Plattsburgh State. They have guided 16 different student-athletes to 26 All-SUNYAC honors and coached the 2018 SUNYAC Rookie of the Year (Allison Seidman) and the 2017 SUNYAC Offensive Player of the Year (Madeline Saccocio). Armellino has also coached five student-athletes to United Soccer Coaches All-East Region honors.
Prior to Plattsburgh State, Armellino was assistant coach at Connecticut College – an NCAA Division III member which competes in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) – where she had served as the top assistant coach since August of 2011.
In six seasons as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Plattsburgh State, Noze has helped guide the Cardinals to a 68-42-7 record and six consecutive appearances in the SUNYAC Tournament semifinals. Noze's role within the program continues to grow, as he is the Co-Director of the Cardinal Soccer Striker and Goalkeepers Camp. In addition, he started the Plattsburgh High School Girls Soccer Summer League in 2019.
Nordic is delighted to announce the addition of the two coaches; we can’t wait for them to start. Further information on both coaches is available below:
